In the afternoon of April 28, 2022, the Vietnam – International Technology Transfer Center (V-ITTC), Hanoi Medical University successfully organized the fourth training session of the online training course, “Common co-occurring disorders among people with substance use disorders”.
In this training session, Tran Van Giang MD, Ph.D., Associate Dean of the Department of Infectious Diseases – Hanoi Medical University, and Deputy Head of Virology and Parasitology Department – National Hospital of Tropical Diseases discussed the topic “Staphylococcus aureus infections”. The training session was joined by more than 25 trainees who are the medical staff of Methadone treatment centers, rehabilitation centers, and medical centers in the country.
The training session focused on the following main topics:
- Overview of staphylococcal infections
- Pathogenesis of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria
- Purulent and non-purulent patterns of staphylococcal infections (poisoning)
- Diagnosis of staphylococcal infections
Treatment of staphylococcal infections
Through the last training session, the Vietnam-International Technology Transfer Center (V-ITTC), Hanoi Medical University, and the lecturers have provided scholars with helpful knowledge related to staphylococcal infections among substance abusers and shared practical experiences of working with patients. At the end of the training session, trainees completed a post-test and a training satisfaction survey.
