Motivational Interviewing Training course for staff working in the addiction treatment field in Hanoi (In-person)

In 4 days from December 6th – 9th, 2022, the Vietnam International Technology Transfer Center (V-ITTC), Hanoi Medical University in collaboration with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) – Hanoi successfully launched 2 in-person training courses on “Motivational Interviewing” for 100 staff working in the addiction treatment field in Hanoi.

With the participation of lecturers from V-ITTC and CDC – Hanoi, the training courses provided opportunities for trainees to gain extensive knowledge on addiction treatment counseling including basic counseling skills in Motivational Interviewing and Stages of behavior changes. Moreover, throughout the training course, trainees had a chance to work in groups to practice counseling skills, share real-life experiences while working with patients, and discuss solutions with the lecturers.
